How contractors use it

Three steps, every Monday.

1

Pick your trade and area

Electrical, plumbing, HVAC or roofing, in the city or county you serve.

2

Get your report every Monday

Up to 20 recent permits, one trade, one area, with a source link to every official record.

3

Decide who to contact

Verify the record, then reach the contractor of record or GC about the work you do.

What you get

Up to 20 recent qualifying permits for your trade and area.

We pull the latest permits from your city or county’s official records, filter them to your trade, and deliver a readable report to your inbox each Monday.

Delivered every Monday

A fresh report in your inbox at the start of each week, so you can plan calls and visits before the week fills up.

Filtered to your trade

Electrical, plumbing, HVAC or roofing. Only the permits that matter to the work you do.

Your city or county

Tell us the area you serve. We use that area’s official open permit data.

Contractor of record

Who pulled each permit. Contractor-of-record and other details when published by the issuing authority.

The details that matter

Permit number, work type, address, neighborhood, estimated job value, and residential or commercial.

A link to every source

Each permit links back to the official public record, so you can verify anything in seconds.

The playbook

Find relevant projects faster. Decide who to contact.

The value isn’t “we found you a job.” It’s cutting the time it takes to spot relevant projects and start a legitimate conversation with the people already attached to them.

How to use this report

These records are public information, not guaranteed leads. Start by verifying the permit status, project type, location, and listed parties. Then research the owner, permit applicant, or general contractor before contacting anyone. Lead with a specific, relevant service and make no claim that the project needs your help. Use one respectful outreach attempt, follow applicable communication laws and platform rules, honor opt-outs immediately, and track your follow-up. The report helps you identify projects to research faster. It does not confirm buyer intent, contractor availability, project timing, or purchasing authority.

A quick hint for each row type

New workResearch the listed parties and offer relevant project support.
AlterationCheck whether your specialty matches the stated scope.
SolarLook for electrical, roofing, storage, or related work.
Low voltageConsider structured cabling, security, access control, or communications.
Service upgradeOffer the matching upgrade or inspection-related service.
1PLAY 1

Contact the applicant or contractor of record

Use the public record to identify who is already attached to the project. Send one relevant capability note. Don’t pretend you were referred.

2PLAY 2

Research the general contractor

If the permit names a GC, check its website and contact the estimating or operations contact about subcontractor availability.

3PLAY 3

Spot adjacent work for your trade

New construction, remodels, solar and service upgrades can reveal related opportunities for another trade. Verify the record before contacting anyone.

4PLAY 4

Reach the owner, only where appropriate

Only where contact information is publicly available and outreach is appropriate. Offer a useful service, not a claim that they need work.

5PLAY 5

Set one legitimate follow-up

Review status changes, inspection activity or project updates where publicly available. One useful follow-up beats repeated pestering.

A sample introduction to a permit holder or GC

Hi [Name], I saw the public permit for [project/address] showing [permit type]. We handle [specific service] in [area], and I wanted to introduce [Company] in case subcontractor or project support is relevant. If you’re not the right contact, no problem, and I won’t follow up again.

Public information, not guaranteed leads. We deliver public permit records. We don’t promise leads, jobs or revenue. Use accurate identity, respect opt-outs and do-not-call requests, avoid deceptive claims, and follow applicable email, phone, privacy and platform rules.

Delivered every Monday. Late delivery means that week is refunded. If a paid report arrives late or doesn’t arrive, we refund that delivery. That’s our promise. We don’t promise anything we can’t control, like how many permits your area issues in a given week or how many jobs you win.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which areas do you cover?

Tell us your city or county at checkout, or reply to your first email. We cover areas whose permits are published as official open data. Not sure yours is covered? Email info@colomhome.com with your city before you buy and we’ll check.

Where does the data come from?

Official public records: the permit data your city or county publishes. Every permit in your report links back to its source record so you can check it yourself.

Which trades can I choose?

We run reports for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and roofing. If you work in another trade, ask and we’ll tell you whether your area’s records cover it.

Does it include phone numbers or emails?

The report shows the contractor of record, with business address and phone number when the city publishes them. We don’t include personal contact details for property owners.

How many permits will I get?

It depends on how many permits your area issues in your trade that week. Some weeks are busy, some are quiet. Example: 134 electrical permits issued in Orlando during Oct. 18-24, 2026.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. Reply to any report or email info@colomhome.com and we’ll cancel before your next charge. No contracts, no fees.
